APHA

APHA

The Non-native Species Inspectorate, part of the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA), operates nationwide to help prevent the establishment of invasive non-native species in the UK.

Our role is to ensure that existing legislation — such as the rules around keeping Species of Special Concern — is clearly understood by stakeholders and effectively enforced where needed. We are also dedicated to raising awareness and providing guidance on both the legislation and the species it protects. 🌿🐟
